Cancer walk

During homecoming week, the LDNE students and staff participated in a cancer walk. Some of the pictures were posted at the time. Kat Country Hub has obtained the information regarding the cancer walk.

“It is a walk we have done the last couple of years to honor survivors and those we have lost to the disease,” stated Pat Sharp, a teacher at Lyons-Decatur Northeast. “We talk about healthy lifestyles to make a difference and walk, skip and hop in the gym for 30 minutes to great music.”

The student council handed out granola bars and fruit snacks to everyone preschool through seniors that attended.
