Weekly Activities:

Wed. Nov. 15: Chime group practices at 9:00 a.m. Coffee time at 10:00 a.m. FROG Ex. at 1:30 p.m. We will play bingo at 2:00 p.m.

Thurs. Nov. 16: Tai Chi Class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time is at 10:00 a.m. Sign up to play 5-handed pinochle at 1:30 p.m. Make your reservation for the noon meal on Tuesday, November 21 Friday.

Fri. Nov. 17: Come in for coffee. Join us for the birthday party in the afternoon; we’ll play pitch and hand & foot. There will be a speaker at 1:30 p.m. Come and eat lunch with us at 3:30 p.m.

Mon. Nov. 20: Join us for coffee. The caregiver group meets at 2:00 p.m.

Nov. 21: Tai Chi Class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time is at 10:00 p.m. The noon meal will be pancakes and French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage, fruit cup, juice and coffee. Cards will be played in the afternoon.

Wed. Nov. 22: No chime practice today.  Coffee time at 9:00 a.m. FROG Ex. at 1:00 p.m. Play Skip-Bo at 1:30 p.m.

 

Meals on Wheels

Getting tired of cooking for one person and then have left over’s that you will be eating for the next couple of days? Why don’t you consider getting meals on wheels; the meals are very nutritious and provide you with the protein, fruits and vegetables needed for a well balanced meal. The suggested donation for the meals is $4.00.

Wed. Dec. 14: No melody chimes practice. Coffee time at 9:00 a.m. We will play

Christmas bingo at 2:00 p.m.

Thurs. Dec. 15: Tai Chi class at 9:30 a.m. serving rolls and coffee from 9 – 11 a.m.

Walking ex. at 10:30 a.m. FROG ex. that will help improve your balance 1:00 p.m. Sign

up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30 p.m.

Fri. Dec. 16: Join us for coffee at 9:00 a.m. The legal aid attorney will be at the center at

1:00 p,m, to help you with any legal questions you might be having. She will give a short

presentation at 1:30 p.m. before the birthday party begins.

Mon. Dec.19: The caregiver support group will meet at 12:30 for lunch and then proceed

with rest of the activities; all caregivers are invited to come, call and let the manager

know that you are planning to participate.

Tues. Dec. 20: Tai Chi class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time at 10:00 a.m. and walking exercises

at 10:30 p.m. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30 p.m.

Wed. Dec. 21: No chime practice today. Coffee time at 9:00 a.m. The Christmas party

will be today at 2:00 p.m.

Mon .July 6: Potluck dinner is at noon, bring a salad, vegetable or dessert, the meat and potatoes will be furnished. Cards will be played after lunch or you may work on the jigsaw puzzle.

Tues. July 7: Tai Chi class is at 9:30 and the walking ex. class at 10:45. Stop in for coffee at 10:00. Sing up to play pitch today at 1:30.

Wed. July 8: Melody chimers will practice at 9:00. Join us for coffee time at 10:00. Fun bingo will be played at 2:00 remember to bring quarters. Have you made your reservation for the noon meal on Friday, July 10th. The melody chimers will entertain us at 11:30 on July 10th.

The Senior Center has refurbished Memorial Flowers of all types for sale. Anyone who is looking for reasonably priced flowers is encouraged to stop in and see what we have available.

Thurs. May 14: Rolls and coffee served from 9:00. until noon. Tai Chi class at 9:30 and walking ex class at 10:30. There will be a pitch tournament at 1:30.

Fri. May 15: The birthday party is today, they will play pitch and hand and foot, lunch is served at 3:30, please join us.

Mon. May 18: The caregiver support group meets at 2:00; all caregivers in the community are invited to attend.

Tues. May 19: The Tai Chi class is at 9:30 and the walking ex. class at 10:30. Stop in for coffee at 10:00. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30. The evening will be pancakes, French toast, scrambled eggs, sausage and orange drink.

*Come and join us Sunday, April 12 for a spaghetti dinner fundraiser, there will be spaghetti with red meat sauce or white sauce, garlic bread, lettuce or jello salad and a variety of home-made desserts. Come and enjoy the good food.

Fri. April 24: Sign up to play in the pinochle tournament at 1:30.

Mon. April 27: There will be a pitch tournament at 1:30. Remember to sign up to eat dinner tomorrow; we will be serving liver and onions or a hamburger patty with all the trimmings.

Tues. April 28: The Tai Chi class is at 9:30 and the walking ex. class at 10:30. Stop in for coffee at 10:00. Plan to eat dinner with us today. There will be free blood pressure screenings starting at 11:30 a.m. and a speaker at 12:20. Cards will be played after the dishes are done.

Wed. April 29: Melody chimers will play at 2:30 at the Wisner Care Center. Bingo will be played at 2:00.

Krista Heineman with NNCA Partnership will be at the center this morning to help you file your income tax and/or your homestead exemption call and set up an appointment. Wed. April 8: Melody chimers will practice at 9:00. We will have the foot clinic today starting at 11:00 am; call to set up an appointment. Hand and foot will be played at 1:30.

Tues. March 24: Tai Chi class at 9:30, and walking ex. class at 10:30. Stop in for coffee at 10:00. Join us for the chicken dinner at noon. Cards will be played after lunch.

Wed. March 25: Melody chimers will practice at 9:00. If you want to make the ladder necklace bring a scissors and ruler, remember to sign up before today so that Mary has adequate supplies.

Mon. March 16: Join us for coffee at 9:30. The caregiver support group meets today at 2:00 pm.

Tues. March 17: Tai Chi class at 9:30, and walking ex. class at 10:30. Stop in for coffee at 10:00. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30. Our evening meal will be served from 5:30 -6:45 and we will serve biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, fruit cup and juice. If enough people are interested in playing cards they will be played after the dishes are done.

Wed. March 18: Melody chimers will play at the senior center and nursing home in Wisner. If you want to play 5-handed pinochle please sign up to play the game at 1:30.

Sat. March 7: The music jam is this evening at 7:00 pm. Come and join us.

Mon. March 9: Join us for coffee at 9:30. Hand and Foot tournament today at 1:30.

Tues. March 10: Tai Chi class at 9:30, and walking ex. class at 10:30. Stop in for coffee at 10:00. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30.
