Happening at Oakland Heights

This Thursday August 9th Charlie Davis will be here to play the Harmonica at 2:30 pm. Then on Friday August 10th is the Annual Ice Cream Social Fundraiser for the activity department, starting at 7:00 pm there will be entertainment by Ron Schulakump, so come by for some ice cream, homemade pie and coffee. Next week on Monday August 13th we will be taking a Van Ride  at 10:00 am, then on Tuesday August 14th is National Creamsicle day and we will be serving the ice creamsicles at 2:30 pm. On Thursday August 16th is the monthly waffle supper night serving at 5:30 pm, on Friday August 17th is Happy Hour starting at 2:30 pm. and on Saturday August 18th the Rusty Buckets will be here to play at 2:30 pm

Church Service for Sunday August 12th will be given by First Baptist Church at 2:30 pm with a luncheon following service.  On Tuesday August 14th is Catholic Mass at 9:30 am given by Father Paul.

Activities for the week of August 13th to August 18th   are as follows, Manicures, reminiscing group, Sing A Long,   Bingo with Salem, Mike Barger, Bell Choir, Bible Fellowship, Word Games, Let’s Play Ball, Crafty Cooking, Saturday Music Video, and Lawrence Walk.

This week on Wednesday December 6th the Bell Choir will be performing at 2:30 pm. Then on Friday December 8th is the residents Christmas party, with dinner starting at 6:00 pm followed by entertainment with Wayne Miller and Santa Claus. Then on Saturday December 9th at 3:00 pm in the Nursing Home dining room the UFF Drama Association, Young players with be putting on a play called “The Christmas Train. Next week on Thursday December 14th Charlie Davis will be here to play the Harmonica. On Friday December 15th is Happy Hour starting at 2:30 pm, and on Saturday December 16th the Rusty Buckets will be here at 2:30 pm.

Church Service for Sunday December 10th will be given by Craig/Alder Grove Church at 2:30 pm with a luncheon following service. On Tuesday December 12th is Catholic Mass at 9:30 am given by Father Paul.

Activities for the week of December 4th   to December 9th   are as follows, reading with Suzanne, Manicures, Reminiscing Group, Sing A Long, Game Day,  Bingo the w/Evang. Free ,  Bible fellowship,   Let’s Play Ball , Crafty Cooking, Saturday Video,   and Lawrence Walk.

This next week is the monthly Waffle Supper at 5:30 pm on Thursday November 16th, and on Saturday November 18th the Rusty Buckets will be here to perform at 2:30 pm. Next week on Wednesday November 22nd at 2:30 pm  is our Thanksgiving service given by First Lutheran Church. On Thursday November 23rd is Thanksgiving and the residents will be having a tradition Thanksgiving Day Dinner starting at 11:30 am. On Friday is the Nebraska Football game starting at 3:00 pm.

Church Service for Sunday November 19th  will be given by the Evangelical Free Church at 2:30 pm with a luncheon following service.

Activities for the week of November 20th  to November 25th    are as follows, reading with Suzanne, Manicures, Sing A Long, Game Day,  Bingo the w/Staff, Mike Barger,  Bell choir practice, Saturday Video, Nebraska Football, and Lawrence Walk.

This week on Thursday September 14th Charlie Davis will be here to play his Harmonica at 2:30 pm. and on Friday September 15th is Happy Hour starting at 2:30. Nebraska Football game at 11:00 am on Saturday 16th  it is also Jene Hightree celebrates his birthday on the 16th. Next week on Tuesday September 19th we will be serving Root Beer Floats at 2:30 pm. On Thursday September 21st is our Monthly Waffle Supper, resident’s family can come up and have supper with them, we start serving at 5:30 pm.

Church Service for Sunday September 17th  will be given by the First Baptist Church at 2:30 pm with a luncheon following service.

This week on Thursday September 7th we will be having a 30-year Staff Anniversary party for Judy Schernikau at 2:30 pm.  On Saturday September 9th, it’s another Nebraska game at 3:30 pm. Then on Sunday is Grandparents Day and we will be having a Grandparents Day Potluck at noon, Family members are invited to come and have dinner with their loved ones. It is a potluck so please bring a potluck dish if you are planning on coming. Next week on Monday September 11th is our monthly Volunteer Executive Meeting at 2:30pm. Thursday September 14th Charlie Davis will be here to play his Harmonica at 2:30 pm. and on Friday September 15th is Happy Hour starting at 2:30. We have two residents celebrating Birthday’s Violet McCartney on September 12th and Jene Hightree on September 16th.

There will be no Church service next Sunday due to the Grandparents Day Potluck Dinner. On Tuesday September 12th is Catholic Mass given by Father Paul at 9:30 am.

On Thursday August 31st, we will have a Movie Matinee starting at 2:00 pm serving popcorn and pop. And on Friday it is the first of September and it’s the start of Labor Day weekend, on Saturday it is the first Nebraska game we will be showing the game at 7:00 pm. Next week on Thursday September 7th we will be having a 30-year Staff Anniversary party for Judy Schernikau at 2:30 pm. Then on Saturday September 9th it’s another Nebraska game at 3:30 pm. Our resident June Schold will celebrating her birthday on September 4th.

Church Service for Sunday September 3rd will be given by the Salem Covenant Church at 2:30 pm with a luncheon following service. On Wednesday September 6th is communion by the Salem Covenant Church.

Activities for the week of September 4th to September 9th   are as follows, No Monday Activities (Labor Day), Sing A Long, Bingo the w/WOW, Mike Barger, Reading Group, Bible Fellowship, Let’s Play Ball, Crafty Cooking, Bingo. Saturday Video, Nebraska Football, and Lawrence Walk.
