Lady Cougars win one, lose one

The Cougar girls added another win during the second week of October as they defeated EHC  foe Logan View 3-1.  They lost in another EHC match as Stanton took a 3-0 win.  Their record is now 8-16.

 

Northeast won the first set against Logan View 25-15.  They recovered from a slow start to take the second set.  After Logan  View won set three an exciting fourth set saw Northeast win 27-25 as the (5-16) Raiders had two chances at game point.

 

Coach Cronin noted that Darcy Simonsen and Hannah Christiansen were key to the win.  “Hannah played well and had a career-high 13 kills.  Darcy set the ball 118 times and was all over the floor.  Great hustle and play!”

 

The (14-5) Fillies controlled the net as they had 44 kills and 4 blocks as they took a 25-14,  25-9,.  25-11 win.

 

This week they host (8-11)North Bend Central on Tuesday.  The EHC Tournament starts on Thursday.  The Cougars have a first round draw of (14-6) Howells-Dodge.
