Other than a very cold day or two, hasn’t January’s weather been wonderful?
It is so nice to go for a walk, or enjoy any outside activities when being inside is the norm for January.
As unpredictable as Nebraska weather is, who knows what is next? I am not one to look at a seven or ten day forecast, worry or dread, what a meteorologist has predicted.
I believe in taking it one day at a time.
Last year, it snowed on May 1st! Not a big snow, but still snow. One can never tell what the weather will bring.
When morning comes is the best time to determine if the weatherman is right or wrong.
Spring will be here before we know it. I am envisioning hot July days lounging in our pool!

Are you a blood donor?
January is National Blood Donor Month.
I have donated blood only one time. I was a senior in high school. The students, only those being of age to give blood, challenged the teachers. There wasn’t a prize involved. The goal was to see who had the most individuals donating blood, the students or the teachers.
Truthfully, I don’t remember who won the contest. It wasn’t about winning. It was about doing the right thing for those in need.
I felt horrible after I had given blood. I went home and slept for three hours! I sadly admit that I haven’t given blood since.
I try to convince myself to do so, that I will be fine. I know it is the right thing to do.
Maybe I will get it done this year.
The one resolution I made. I hope I accomplish it!

We went shopping the weekend after Christmas.
I was shocked to see summer clothes already! I know that is how the retail world works, but I want to buy sweaters!
I found a gorgeous one on a clearance rack. That is the kind of shopping I like! Sales, clearance, anything that isn’t full price!
I will be in the mood for summer clothes when it is summer!
I hope your New Year has had a great beginning.
I also hope the entire year, and all the years to come, find you happy and healthy.
Happy January! To me, it is the longest month of the year. If the weather continues on this path, I could change my mind.
God Bless you until we meet again!
