Social Speaks: Women’s salaries Compared to Men’s

In 2012 the median annual earnings for women who worked full-time all year was $37,791 compared to men’s salary of $49,398. What are your thoughts on this?

  • Dan Tierney If a women does the same amount of work a man does in the same job, there is no reason to deny her equal pay.
  •  Whitney Danae There are women out there that do just as much work as a man if not more. We put in hours due to raising a single home family and we make less. Yet, we have custody of the kids? To me its a double standard. Like here you go u can keep your kids but your not going earn as much as your ex even though you have a degree or what not.
  •  Lauri Bundy Canarsky Equal pay for equal responsibility. It’s a lot closer than out was 20 years ago. I wish my income were median.
  • Mike Gunderson I’m with Lauri on this one, I would love to have my wife make the same as me! But to the people in the Midwest I think these numbers are a little inflated. Just my thought
