Col. Robert M. Pelletier Speaks at Memorial Day Program


Col. Pelletier is a 1984 graduate of The Citdael, Military College of South Carolina, Commissioned a 2nd Lieutenant, Army Aviation in May 1984. He has served a total of 30 years, ten active duty and twenty years as an Army Reservist. He held all leadership positions from Platoon Leader to Brigade Commander as well on Joint Staff. He has had multiple assignments and tours overseas to include border duty in Germany, border duty in Korea and Central America. He was deployed three times: Desert Storm 1990-91, Iraq 2003-04, Afghanistan 2012-13. He is currently assigned as Chief, Deployment and Distribution Operation Center, US Transportation Command at Scott Air Base, IL.

Harold O. Tell, 84 of Wayne, NE


Harold O. Tell, 84, of Wayne, Nebraska died on Monday, May 26, 2014 at Providence Medical Center in Wayne, Nebraska. Funeral services for Harold will be held on Thursday, May 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Covenant Church in Wakefield; Pastor Kelly Johnston will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Wednesday from 3:00 until 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial with military rites will be in the Wakefield Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Wakefield Heritage Organization and the C&NW Historical Train Depot in Wakefield.

PRESTON JAY TURNER, 26 years, of Fremont, Nebraska, passed away, Sunday, May 25, 2014, as a result of injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Omaha, Nebraska.
