I am a graduate of Northeast Community College with a degree in journalism. I am married to Jeff Gilliland. We have two grown children, Justin and Whitney and four grandchildren, Grayce, Grayhm, Charli and Penelope. I will be covering Lyons, Decatur, Bancroft and Rosalie and am hoping to expand my horizons as time progresses!

Enjoy getting daily updates on whatever is happening around the area ! Thanks for your hard work. As morbid as it sounds , getting obituaries has helped me many many times. Sometimes it’s too late before the paper gets out and Sam always picks up our mail so don’t get to see PO notices.
