TERRY L. UHING, 70 years, of rural Craig, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, August 7, 2014 at his home in rural Craig.
Tyrone Leo “Terry Lee” was born July 14, 1944, in Tekamah, Nebraska, to Bernard and Dorothy Mae (Von Seggren) Uhing. He attended Paddock School through the eighth grade and graduated from Tekamah Herman High School, where he played football, #41, and was named Aksarben and Cornhusker All -Conference.
On March 14, 1963, Terry married Diane Rasmussen. They had five children, Teri, Brenda, Peggy, Cindi and Greg. They later divorced and Terry married Pamela Webster. They had two children, Ryan and Robyn.
Terry enjoyed farming and farmed for several years. He was a journeyman electrician for several years and later returned to his passion of farming. He was a local and college sports enthusiast and especially loved watching his children in football and wrestling.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include his children, Teri Ditter (special friend, Dan Jilg), Brenda (Robert) Herring, Peggy (Scott) Havener, Cindi (Gabriel) Anaya, Greg Uhing, Ryan Uhing and Robyn Uhing; 15 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; brothers, Richard (Linda) Uhing, Brian (Chris) Uhing, Jeff (Karen) Uhing; several nieces, nephews and cousins.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL:Tuesday, August 12, 2014, 10:30 am, at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tekamah
VISITATION: Monday, 5-7 pm with family receiving friends and a VIGIL SERVICE at 7 pm all at Pelan Funeral Home in Tekamah. Visitation will also be held at the church one hour prior to service.
