Grandparents Day Celebrated at LDNE

Mrs. Beacom’s Kindergarten class at LDNE invited honored their grandparents Friday afternoon in their classroom. They planned a special program in honor of the occasion.

The event began with the grandchildren singing a song about the days of the week. They also performed another song, asking the grandparents to participate. Mrs. Beacom had asked the students to share their favorite experiences with the grandparents.

There were a variety of wonderful moments shared, such as motorcycle rides, gator rides, gardening, being outdoors and going to the Dollar Store. The students were also asked how old they thought their grandparents were. This was quite entertaining. The ages guessed ranged from 20-61.

The program concluded with refreshments and the grandparents reading stories to their grandchildren.
