Eugene John “Geno” Herbert, 72, of Tekamah NE

EUGENE JOHN “GENO” HEBERT, 72 years, of Tekamah, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, September 13, 2014, at the Golden Living Center in Omaha, Nebraska.

Gene was born October 1, 1941, in Abbeville, Louisiana, the son of Alexis and Lucille (LaBry) Hebert. He graduated from Kaplan High School in Kaplan, Louisiana.

Gene served in the U. S. Air Force from 1959 until his honorable discharge in 1963.

He was employed in sales at John Kraft Chevrolet in Omaha, Nebraska.

Survivors include his son, Carlton Hebert and wife, Tirzah of Bellevue NE, 3 grandchildren, Andrew Richardson and wife, Jamie of Ashland, NE, Connor Hebert and Amber Hebert, 2 great grandchildren, Tyler and Jacob; brother, Clifford Hebert of Kaplan, LA.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Alexis and Lucille; sisters, Dolores Hebert and Elavie Landry; brother, Maxie.

CELEBRATION OF LIFE SERVICE: Saturday, September 20, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Tekamah. A luncheon will follow the service.

MILITARY HONORS: VFW Bataan Post No. 3304 and American Legion LaFrenz Post No. 15
