Bruce “BC” Conant, 65, of Oakland NE

BRUCE “BC” CONANT, 65 years, of Oakland, Nebraska, passed away Friday, September 19, 2014, at Logan Valley Manor in Lyons, Nebraska.

Bruce was born May 30, 1949, in Lincoln, Nebraska, to Harold and Gwendolyn ( Booth ) Conant.

In 1975, Bruce and his then wife, Susan Lee Edwards moved to the area and had three children, Joe, Amy and Bill.

For more than 20 years he worked for Agland Coop/CVA. In retirement he worked part-time for Helena Chemical Company, where he took pride in being part of such a wonderful group of people.

As you know, Bruce was passionate about golf. He found happiness in the fairways and that is how we will remember him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his three children, Joe Conant of West Point, NE, Amy Conant of Marshall, MN, Bill Conant of Dodge, NE; three grandchildren, Kayla, Ashton and Chase of West Point; brother, Jerry (Olga) Conant of Lincoln, NE, sister, Debra Conant of Lake Tahoe, NV; dear friend, Wally Engelhart of Lyons, NE and his beloved dog, Buster.

FUNERAL SERVICE: Tuesday, September 23, 2014, 10:00 a.m. at Pelan Funeral Home in Oakland.

VISITATION: Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

BURIAL: Oakland Cemetery
