Beauty of Old Farm Places

I took this picture in South Dakota while Jeff was driving down the highway at the new speed limit of 80 mph. It is very hard to take a picture while going that fast! I had seen this place before and remembered this time to take a quick picture of it. I love old farm places. Photo Credit/Denise Gilliland/Editor and Chief, Kat Country Hub.

How did you get that picture to be as in focus as it is???? I’ve tried taking pictures when riding in a vehicle (even going slower than 80!) and I can’t get anything close to that clear. I’m guessing you have much better photography equipment than most people because of your career, but any tips for a novice like myself? Great work.

    • Thank you very much. I do have a very nice camera and I had an extra zoom lens on it. I knew where this was and was ready. The first one I took wasn’t good, but the next one was. I had it set up to keep taking pictures. I had missed it last year, but wasn’t as prepared. This time, I had the camera set up and ready to go.

Very good, thanks for the tip! Makes a lot of sense about anticipating your shot…. I think that’s part of my problem. I’m not ready in time for a good shot, and always seem to be a few seconds late because of it. Love the idea of featuring old barns like that, keep it up!

    • I have practiced a lot over the last few years. I want to do more farm pictures. I drive around looking when I have time. Thanks for the comments. I appreciate it.
