Oakland’s July 3rd Party in the Park was a huge success. It was so nice to see so many people come out to this event, enjoying a holiday and supporting the community! It is important to be supportive and caring of the community you live in! My husband took the pictures, not as many as I hoped, but he did his best. I was working in the concession stand so unable to take pictures. I missed part of the fireworks, but what I saw was fabulous! Good job Oakland! Thanks to everyone that came! Have a happy and safe 4th everyone!

Leora Russman, 101, of Bancroft, NE died on Friday, July 1, 2016 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, NE.
