Area Musicians Featured in Christmas Concert

The Blair Area Concert Band is a 60 member musical organization that started over twenty years ago.  The concert band performs one of its two season concerts this Sunday, December 4 at 2pm at Blair High School.  All are invited to hear a number area musicians in the band from Bancroft, Decatur, Lyons and Oakland perform a variety of festive band pieces.

“The First Suite for Band-Intermezzo” by Gustav Holst will be conducted by Viktor Sundleaf, Bancroft Schools Director of Bands.  “A Christmas Festival” by Leroy Anderson will be conducted by Pastor Gary Fugman of Decatur.  The Blair Area Concert Choir will also be featured on this first weekend of December Christmas concert.
