LETHA MAE ERIKSEN was born January 14, 1930 to Edgar and Lucy (Hermann) Hansen in Oakland, Nebraska. She passed away Thursday, October 29, 2015, at Lakeside Village in Omaha.
Letha was raised on a farm in rural Oakland, Nebraska and attended Oakland Public schools graduating from high school in 1948. After graduation she worked as an office assistant to Dr. James G. Allen.
On October 1, 1950, Letha was married to Phillip Eriksen in Oakland, Nebraska. To this union was born three children: Mike, Pat and Barbie.
They lived most of their lives on a farm 2 ½ miles south of Craig until they retired from farming in 1995. In early 1996 they moved to Tekamah, Nebraska where they lived until the fall of 2012. They moved to Omaha in September 2012 where she resided until her passing.
She enjoyed sewing, vacationing with family and spending time with her grandchildren.
Letha was a member of the Craig American Legion Auxiliary, the Tekamah Order of Eastern Star, the Tekamah United Methodist Women and the Tekamah United Methodist Church.
She was preceded in death by her husband on March 25, 2015, her parents, son-in-law Brad Herting, and granddaughter Jessica Herting.
Survivors include two sons and daughter-in-laws: Mike and LaDonna Eriksen of Omaha, Pat and Marcia Eriksen of Sioux City, IA; daughter: Barbie Herting of Omaha; eight grandchildren: Dan Eriksen of Omaha, Amanda (Chris) McDonnell of Orland Park, IL, Bethany Eriksen of Phoenix, AZ, Leila Eriksen of Sioux City, IA, Russ (Libbi) Herting of Omaha, Brandon, Justin and Jenny Herting of Omaha; two great grandchildren: Campbell and Lila McDonnell of Orland Park, IL; brothers and sisters-in-law Elmer (Lola) Hansen of Wathena, KS, Darwin (Marilyn) Hansen of Rosalie, NE., and Dale (Carolyn) Hansen of Dakota Dunes, SD.
MEMORIAL GRAVESIDE SERVICE: Saturday, November 7, 2015, 2 pm, at the Craig Cemetery, Craig, Nebraska.

Patricia Ann (Weatherly) Nicholls, was born to Robert Kenneth (R.K.) and Verna Nylene Weatherly on August 14, 1942. She passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at her residence, in Claremore, Oklahoma surrounded by family and friends.
Pat attended primary school in the Tekamah-Herman school district before attending the University of Nebraska. She completed her second degree at the University of Houston, graduating as a Petroleum Land Man. As well as being passionate about her professional career, she was an active volunteer in the community and was a proud member of The Order of the Eastern Star for 54 years.
Pat moved to Houston, Texas in 1979 where she raised her sons, Stephen Mark and Bruce Alan. Family and friends were Pat’s passion and delight. Pat also had a soft spot for adopting German Sheppard’s. She enjoyed her personal time by playing squash and other sports, taking day trips with her motorcycle club, sewing, shopping and supporting the Nebraska Cornhuskers.
Pat is preceded in death by her father R.K. Weatherly and nephew Michael Weatherly.
Pat is survived by her mother, Verna Nylene Weatherly of Tekamah, NE; brothers, Robert Kenneth (Beth) Weatherly, Jr. of Fremont, NE and Jerry Lynn Weatherly of Bellevue, NE, two sons, Stephen Mark (Amanda) Nicholls of Irving, TX, Bruce Alan (Teresa) Nicholls of Claremore, OK; neice Jill Weatherly of Lincoln, NE; and five grandchildren, Tyler and Grant of Claremore, OK, Tori, Micah and Laura of Irving, TX.. She also leaves behind numerous loving relatives and friends.
The family wishes to thank all of those who prayed and cared for Pat during her last few months.

Bernice “Bernie” Louise (Peelman) Weber was born March 14, 1930 in Meadville, Pennsylvania to Fred and Lucy (Thrall) Peelman. She passed away October 19, 2015 at Premier Estates in West Point, Nebraska, at the age of 85 years.
Bernie married Charles Huff Weber on March 29, 1947; they were married for almost 46 years. To this union were born two daughters, Janis and Judy. She resided in San Diego, California and then Julian, California, prior to moving to Oakland, Nebraska in March of 2000.
After her husband retired from the Navy in 1970, they both enjoyed traveling the United States in their motorhome, visiting family and friends. Bernie loved animals, to play cards, sew, bake and later on to play poker, solitaire and do jigsaw puzzles on her computer. She was a member of several VFW Ladies’ Auxiliaries and American Legions. She volunteered her time at Pass-It-On, Share, Garden Club, quilting and Golden Oaks.
Once in Oakland, Bernie made fast friends with Marie Daubert and later on Jamie Doud, Dona Nelson, and others.
Bernie will be remembered for her amusing sense of humor and entertaining personality.
She is survived by her daughters, Janis (Michael) Zangari of San Diego, CA, Judy Weber of Oak Grove, MN; six grandchildren, Becky (Bill) Pankoke, Chris (Dawn) Zangari, Jennifer (Marco) Robinson, Nathan (Melissa) Dittmar, Jayson (Michelle) Dittmar, Ben Dittmar; 9 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter, Angellina Pankoke; many nieces, nephews and friends.
PRIVATE FAMILY SERVICES will be held at a later date in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery in San Diego, California.

Richard W. “Woody” Frye, 68, of Wayne, NE died on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at his home in Wayne after a long illness. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, October 30, 2015 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Wakefield. Burial will be held at a later date in Goobertown, Arkansas. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral is in charge of the arrangements.
Richard was born on July 17, 1947 in Peoria, IL, the son of Clifford and Jewel (Adams) Frye. At an early age, the family moved to California, where he graduated from High School from Gilroy, CA. He began working with National Fiberglass. The job brought him to Wayne, Nebraska on the early 1970’s. He later worked with Great Dane Trailers until his health forced him to retire in 2012. Richard had a love for music. At an early age he played with his family in a band. He also enjoyed telling jokes and playing cards. Most of all he loved his family.
He is survived by his son, Eric (Katie) Frye and their children Devon and Alexis of Wayne, NE; daughters Tina (Randy) Weaver and their children Justin and Jacob of Colorado Springs, CO and Makayla Sternberg and her son Hunter of Wayne, NE. He is also survived by two sisters-in-law Bobbie Frye of Atwater, CA and JoAnn Frye of Wayne, NE.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, David and Jack Frye.

Brock Stuart Redding, 25, of Fremont, NE, passed away Friday, October 23, 2015, near Valley, NE, as a result of an automobile accident.
Brock was born January 28, 1990, at Andrews Air Force Base in Maryland to Randall and Marlene (Petersen) Redding. Brock lived in Fremont the majority of his life. He graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School in 2008. He worked at Leaf Guard of the Midlands.
He was a member of First United Methodist Church in Fremont where he was confirmed on April 25, 2004. He was active in the Boy Scouts Troop #110 at North Bend, NE for 5 years. Brock enjoyed woodworking and camping. His passion in life was horticulture and Brock was particularly prideful of his roses. Brock loved shooting darts and was on a dart league and often hit a bullseye.
Brock is survived by his sons, Carter and Parker Redding of Fremont; parents, Randall and Marlene Redding of Fremont; brother, Brandon Redding of Fremont; paternal grandmother, Marion Redding of Bancroft, NE; maternal grandmother, Janell Petersen of Lyons, NE; niece, Brynne Redding of Fremont; many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends.
Brock was preceded in death by his brother, Brett Redding; grandfathers, Verle Redding and Lee Roy Petersen; great grandmother, Marie Anderson.
Funeral service will be 10:30 AM, Thursday, October 29, 2015, at First United Methodist Church in Fremont. The Rev Michael McGregor and Pastor Rod Anderson will officiate. Visitation will be 4 PM – 8 PM, Wednesday with family receiving friends from 6 PM to 8 PM at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont. Visitation on Thursday, one hour prior to the service at the church. Burial will be at the Lyons Cemetery in Lyons, NE.
Memorials may be directed to the family.

Walter W “Bud” SMALL Jr, 91 years, of Decatur, Nebraska, passed away Saturday, October 24, 2015
WW (Bud) Small was born November 16, 1923, in Decatur Nebraska, to Walter and Tessa (Mayberry) Small. He entered into rest surrounded by his family Saturday, at Regency Square Care Center in South Sioux City, Nebraska.
Bud worked with his family in Decatur at the Small Hardware and at the Princess Movie Theater growing up. He played football for the Decatur Bulldogs and graduated from Decatur High School in 1941. Bud joined the Army in 1943. He returned to Decatur where he married Ida Jane (Blankenbeckler) Small and to this union 2 boys were born. Later Bud was introduced by his sister to Viola Lunz. They were married August 14, 1955, in Martinsburg, Nebraska, and made their home on a farm near Decatur. When Decatur’s Toll bridge opened in 1956 Bud was there to take the first toll and remained on the bridge for 35 years. Viola helped raise Bud’s two young boys and helped on the farm beside her husband until they retired. He loved to fish and took his family on numerous family vacations. In their later years, they enjoyed going to Florida fishing in the winter. Bud continued to farm in Decatur with his son John and later with his youngest son Dan. Bud continued to overlook the farming operation even after he went to the nursing home.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Walter and Tessa (Mayberry) Small, wife; Viola (Lunz) Small, son; John Small, sister; Helen (Small) Gatewood
W.W. Small (Bud) is survived by his son, Daniel and Konnie Small of Decatur; Daughter in Law, June Small of Sioux City, IA; His grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. Also a host of friends, whose lives, Bud made an impact on.
