Charlotte J. Rasmussen, age 79 of Herman died October 20, 2015 at the Fremont Area Medical Center. Memorial services will be held Friday, October 23, 2015 at First United Methodist Church of Blair at 2:00 PM. Burial will follow the services in the Blair Cemetery.
Charlotte J. Rasmussen was born July 1, 1936 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Elmer Dale and Nancy Alice (West) Grothe. She was raised on a farm between Herman and Tekamah, and attended Homestead District 12, a one room school house. She then went on to graduate from Herman High School in 1954. Following graduation Charlotte attended Wayne State Teachers College. She then began teaching at Spiker School for two years. On May 20th, 1956 she was united in marriage to Robert Rasmussen at First Lutheran Church of Blair. The couple made their home on the family homestead in the Spiker area. Charlotte was involved with the Avon Company as a sales representative for 45 years. She was the top seller in Nebraska for several years earning awards and trips all over the United States. Charlotte was known for her love of baking and enjoyed her family and friends to the fullest. Charlotte treated everyone that entered her home as family.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years Robert J. Rasmussen; children, Randall and wife Lark Rasmussen of Herman, Rick and wife Kim Rasmussen of Herman, Penny and husband Don Reifenrath of Wynot, Nebraska; 12 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and two brothers, Jim and wife Judy Grothe of Tekamah, and Chuck and wife Althea Grothe of O’Fallon, Missouri; several nieces and nephews and countless friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents and daughter-in-law Debra Rasmussen.
Memorials may be directed to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation: Omaha/Council Bluffs Chapter, and the Herman Rescue Squad.

Betty Lou (Hansen) Beckmann, 85, of Bancroft, NE, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Heritage of Bel Air in Norfolk, NE. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 24, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft, NE; Pastor Robert Schilling will be officiating. The visitation will be Friday, October 23, 2015 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft. Burial will be at Bancroft Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE.
Betty was born December 17, 1929 to Henry and Louise (Fuchs) Hansen in Stanton, NE. On December 17, 1950, Betty married Lenard H. Beckmann at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Pender, NE. She was baptized March 14, 1951. The couple farmed outside of Bancroft for 42 years where they farmed and raised livestock. In 1992, they moved into Bancroft. Lenard died on April 11, 2001.
She was a member of the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church ladies aid and Bancroft Senior Center, where she loved playing cards, especially pitch. Betty loved her flowers, gardening, canning, and baking.
She is survived by her daughters, Sharon (Jeff) Knudtson of Fostoria, IA, Diane (Randy) Buhrman of Fremont, NE, Kaylene (Sterling) Grell of Ashland, NE; a son-in-law Herbert Hall, Jr. of Fremont, NE, brother, David (Delores) Hansen of Stanton, NE, sisters Alice Herbolsheimer of Stanton, NE and Evelyn Mathis of Fremont, NE; sisters-in-law, Orma Beckmann of Pender, NE, Lillie Gilster of Lyons, NE and Margaret Beckmann of Lake City, MN. She is also survived by ten grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Lenard and her daughter Shirley Hall.

Reynard G. Brehmer, 82, of Lyons, Nebraska passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Oakland Heights in Oakland, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 23, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons, NE; with Father Paul Ortmeier as celebrant. Visitation will be Thursday, October 22, 2015 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church with a scripture wake starting at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Holy Cross Catholic Church Cemetery in Bancroft, NE. Memorial are suggested to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Pender, NE.
Reynard was born February 22, 1933 in Bancroft, NE to John and Rose (Repschlaegher) Brehmer. He graduated from Bancroft High School in 1952. He married Bette Gatzemeyer on June 16, 1956 in Bancroft, NE. The couple had 9 children.
Reynard was a member of St. John’s Catholic Church in Pender and St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons, NE, the VFW, an advisor at Logan Valley Manor, founder and president of Brehmer Manufacturing and owner of the Big Red Sled used at tractor pulls. He had a very creative mind, he designed and invented many things for the agriculture and farming industry. Reynard enjoyed camping and tending to his garden. Most of all, Reynard loved his family and spent as much time as possible with them.
He is survived by his wife, Bette Brehmer of Lyons, NE; sons, Joey (Tammy) Brehmer of Lyons, NE, Tim Brehmer of Papillion, NE, Jamie (Vicki) Brehmer of Lyons, NE, Ladd (Cyndy) Brehmer of Kingwood, TX, Chad (Julie) Brehmer of Lyons, NE; daughters, Jill (Steve) Smith of Pender, NE, Tami (Brian) Scollard of Ponca, NE, Teri (Kurt) Lehmkuhl of Valley, NE, Kim (Kirk) Slaughter of Pelham, AL; sister, Carol (Sam) Bruno of Thornton, CO, Judy Forks of Montgomery, AL, and sister-in-law, Jo Ann Brehmer of Wendell, MN, 20 grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Reynard is preceded in death by his parents, infant sister, Harriet; sisters, Darlene Novak, Marion Anderson; brothers, Willis Brehmer and Johnny Brehmer.

Robert V. Johnson, 87, of Emerson, NE died on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at Heritage of Emerson Nursing Home in Emerson, NE.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, October 23, 2015 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke’s Lutheran Church in Emerson with Pastor Gretchen Ritola officiating. Darlene Jean Sok was born to Felix and Genevieve (Chochon) Barnas on January 4, 1928 in Tarnov, Nebraska. She passed away on October 19, 2015 at the Mable Rose Estates in Bellevue, Nebraska at the age of 87 years.
Darlene graduated from St. Michael School in Tarnov. She worked at Armour in Omaha, Nebraska and Hormel in Fremont, Nebraska.
On September 22, 1953 Darlene married Henry A. Sok in Tarnov. To this union were born three children; Paul, Pat and Mary.
After Henry’s death on August 3, 2002, she moved to Lyons, Nebraska. Darlene worked at Oakland-Craig schools in Oakland, Nebraska as a custodian for twenty years. She was an active member of St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons; she was a member of the Women’s Auxiliary and the St. Joseph Altar Society. She also volunteered at the Logan Valley Manor Mass.
She was preceded in death by her parents; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Anna Sok; sister and brother-in-law Lorraine (Ralph) Hemmer; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law, Leon Marquardt, Bernard Spenner, Lillian (Alvin) Vetick, Steve Sok.
She is survived by her son, Paul (Kim) Sok of Winside, NE; daughters, Pat (Mark) Nelson of Omaha, Mary (Gary) Dusenberry of Waterloo, IA; grandchildren, Brandy (Jon) Kroeger, Kelly (Josh) Baulisch, Stephanie (Zachary) Gates, Robert Dusenberry, Miranda Dusenberry, Joshua (Cinzia) Sok, Andrew (Nicole) Sok, Lara (Brian) Lanphear; 6 great grandchildren; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Eva Spenner, Marie (Bob) Gill all of Tekamah, NE, Adelene (Art) Laetsch of Atkinson, NE, Jo Marquardt of Omaha, Pat Sok of Fremont, NE.
MASS OF CHRISTIAN BURIAL: Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 10:30 am, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Lyons.
VISITATION: Wednesday, 5-7 pm with family receiving friends and a 7 pm VIGIL SERVICE all at Pelan Funeral Services, Lyons. Visitation will also be held one hour prior to service at the church.
BURIAL: Lyons Cemetery
