Ella J. Rodick, 93, of Bancroft, Nebraska died on Wednesday, December 24, 2014 at West Point Living Center in West Point, Nebraska. Funeral services for Ella will be held on Monday, December 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft; Pastor Philip Hale will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Sunday, from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church Organ Fund. Arrangements by Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft, NE.

Ella was born on April 5, 1921 in Osmond, Nebraska, the daughter of Ernest and Anna (Lindwurm) Schultz. She was baptized on August 28, 1921 at Eden Valley Lutheran Church in Osmond and confirmed on April 14, 1935 at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point. On September 27, 1940, Ella was united in marriage to John Rodick at Grace Lutheran Church. To this union two sons were born: Arlan and Melvin. The couple farmed in the Bancroft area.

She was an active member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Bancroft, serving on the Alter Guild and the Chime and Bell Choir. She enjoyed sewing, knitting, reading, dancing and baking.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons: Arlan (Pat) Rodick of Shasta Lake, CA and Melvin (Barb) Rodick of Castle Rock, CO. She is also survived by four grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, a sister, Alice Klintworth and brother, Ervin Schultz.

Catherine A. Frangenberg, 73, of Omaha NE Formerly of Lyons NE


Catherine A. Frangenberg, 73 years, of Omaha, Nebraska, formerly of Lyons, Nebraska, passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014, at CHI Health Bergan Mercy Hospital in Omaha, Nebraska.

Catherine Ann Frangenberg was born December 30, 1940, in Lyons, to Frederick “Fred” and Cecilia (Knittel) Frangenberg.

Catherine attended Lyons Public School, graduating in 1959. She moved to Omaha after graduation. She was a librarian assistant in the art reference library at the Joslyn Art Museum, assisting people with research for art projects and locating books in the library.

Catherine was in declining health recently, and has resided in a nursing home for the past few years.

Catherine has been a faithful member of St. Peter Catholic Church in Omaha for over 40 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents; an infant brother; brother, Bill; sisters, Mary and Agnes.

Survivors include her sisters and brother, Dorothy and Rosanna, both of Omaha, Robert (Ingrid) Frangenberg, of Oakland, CA, Helen (Frank) Stholl, of Ft. Garland, CO; many nieces and nephews; a host of friends.

Joyce A. Moeller age 84 of Scribner passed away  Wednesday December 24, 2014 at St. Francis Memorial Hospital in West Point.
The funeral will be 10:30am Saturday at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Scribner. The Rev. Bruce Schut will officiate. Burial will be in Scribner Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 8pm with the family receiving friends from 6pm to 8pm at Ludvigsen’s Scribner Funeral Chapel. Visitation will continue for one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.  Joyce was preceded in death by her husband Marvin ‘Doc’ Moeller in 1977 and a son-in-law Mike Hegy.

Michelle L. Bausch, 38, of Allen, Nebraska passed away suddenly on Sunday, December 21, 2014 in Fairmont, Minnesota. Funeral services for Shelly will be held on Saturday, December 27, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Evangelical Free Church in Concord, Nebraska; Pastor Todd Thelen will be officiating. The visitation will be held on Friday from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. at the church in Concord with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Concord Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the family for future designation. Bressler – Munderloh – Smith Funeral Home of Wakefield is in charge of the arrangements.

Shelly was born on May 13, 1976 in Wakefield, Nebraska, the daughter of Dale and Maxine (Lyons) Smith. She attended and graduated from Allen High School in 1994. In August of 1994 she was united in marriage to Mark Bausch. To this union three children were born: Jon, Ally and Nate. The couple later divorced. While working at several places including M.G. Waldbaums, Country Nursery, Opportunities Unlimited, NRP, and the corner mart she graduated from Wayne State College with a degree in Psychology. She later obtained her Masters of Counseling from Wayne State College. She has been working with NICC serving the Native Americans on the Rosebud in South Dakota and the Omaha and Winnebago Tribes as a teacher and counselor.

Shelly had a magnetic personality meeting friends everywhere she went. She enjoyed camping, backpacking, horseback riding, softball, karaoke and attending rodeos. Most of all she enjoyed the time she was able to spend with her friends and family.

She is survived by her three children: Jon Bausch of Waterbury, NE, Ally Bausch and Nate Bausch of Allen, NE, her parents Dale and Maxine Smith of Allen, NE, brothers and sisters Jolene (Wes) Lueth of Wakefield, NE, Kevin (Kathy) Smith of Allen, NE, Richard Smith (special friend Michelle Greenough) of Riverton, WY, Carrie (Cory) Marschner of Columbus, ND and Mindy (Corey) Millard of Martinsburg, NE and several nieces and nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, infant brother Tony and her special friend Justin Lineberry.
