Wed. Dec. 3: Melody chimes practice at 9:00. Come and play chicken foot dominoes at 1:30.

Thurs. Dec. 4: Tai Chi Class at 9:30 and walking ex class at 10:30. Stop in and have coffee with us at 10:00. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30.

Fri. Dec. 5: Join us for the chair ex. at 10:00. There will be a pinochle tournament at 1:30

and St. Joe’s will be bringing the snack.

Sat. Dec. 6: Remember to bring your cookies to the Bancroft Community Building by 10:30 for the cookie walk. We will also be selling raffle tickets that day. We will have our monthly music this evening at 7:00.

Mon. Dec. 8: Sign up to play in the pitch tournament today at 1:30.

Tues. Dec. 9: Tai Chi class at 9:30 and the walking ex. class at 10:30. Stop in for coffee at 10:00. We will play hand and foot at 1;30.

Have you had a chance to talk to a SHIIP volunteer about your prescription drug Part D; Rita Brehmer who is a SHIIP volunteer, may be able to find another plan that is a better price for the plan and perhaps also for the drugs you are taking. Call the senior center and make an appointment.

Caregiver Support Group to Meet


The monthly Caregiver Support Group will meet at the Bancroft Senior Center, this coming Monday, November 17 at 2:00 p.m.

The guest speaker will be John Schmitt, a Vocational Rehabilitation Counselor; he will talk about appliances that are available to help people who are blind or visually impaired to make every day tasks easier for them.

The information that is shared by those in attendance is kept confidential. If you are a caregiver and have never attended one of our meetings, please feel free to come and join us.

The center will be open from 5:00 – 6:00 p.m. Bring your candy to the center and hand it out to the children who come in costumes.

Polka Band and Soup Supper – Sat. Oct. 18

We have invited the polka band back again to entertain us; everyone that attended last time really enjoyed their music. We will have a soup supper, serving chili and chicken noodle soup, home-made desserts and beverage, serving from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The band will play from 6:00 until about 7:15 p.m. The public is invited to attend.

Mon. Oct. 20: The caregiver support group meeting starts at 2:00; all caregivers are welcome to come to these meetings.
