Logan Creek is Running High

Logan Creek that runs through Oakland is running very high. The recent rains here and to the north of Oakland have built up, causing the Logan to run high, full of tree branches and other such debris. The area to walk down and sit and fish is now under water. It is to rain again today, so it is doubtful it will go down right away.

The Beauty of Logan Creek

Sunday, January 19th brought beautiful weather to Nebraska. Temps were in the 60’s, which is unheard of in January! I decided to take a short drive to the Logan by Oakland, NE and see if it was frozen solid yet, doubting that it was. I was correct. There is ice, but there is also water running in the creek as well. Below are the pictures I took of the Logan.

Beautifully Warm Day

The Logan Creek near Oakland hasn’t frozen solid yet. There is ice, but also water running down stream. It was absolutely beautiful to sit by the Logan on Sun., Jan. 19th with the temps in the 60’s, unheard of in January!
