Face in the Mirror: Mother’s Day Poem by Diana L. Schulzkump

Every time I look in the mirror

I see my mother looking back at me.

My Mother’s been gone for a few years

So I don’t see how this can be.

Yet every time I look in a mirror,

My Mother is looking back at me.

Friends commented on our “look-a-like many

years ago.

But I could never see it, but now I guess it’s so.

Cause every time I look in the mirror,

My Mother is standing right there.

The only thing missing, you see, is her pretty white hair.

So I think of my Mother every day, when she

comes to visit me.

Cause every time I look in the mirror, my Mother

is looking back at me.
