The Oakland City Council is having a special meeting on Mon., Nov. 9th at 5:30 p.m. at the Rosen Room. The regular meeting of the Oakland City Council is Mon., Nov. 16th at 5:30 at the Rosen Room. Both meetings are open to the public.

The Oakland-Craig Board of Education will meet Mon., Nov. 9th at 8:00 p.m. at the Oakland-Craig Elementary School in the Board meeting room. The meeting is open to the public.

The Oakland Chamber of Commerce will meet Tues., Nov. 10th at noon in the Rosen Room.

The Veteran’s Day Program is Wed., Nov. 11th at the Oakland-Craig Elementary Gymnasium at 10:00 a.m. Lunch will follow, also at the gym.

Upcoming Event Reminders

A homecoming pep rally will be held at the Oakland-Craig elementary school gymnasium today at 1:30 p.m. The homecoming football game against Ponca begins at 7:00 p.m. at the football field in Oakland. Following the game, the homecoming king and queen will be crowned at the football field.

Sunday, Sept. 27th is an open house for the newly remodeled Community Center in Lyons. The event begins at 1:30 p.m. Everyone is invited to attend.

Wed., Sept. 30th is the Oakland City Council regular monthly meeting beginning at 5:30 p.m. The meeting is open to the public. An agenda is on file at the Oakland City Office.

The Mayor or Presiding Meeting Officer reserves the right to deny this request, or will call you to the center front podium when your agenda Item is ready to be heard. Presentations, if allowed, may be limited to five (5) minutes per person, with a limit of three (3) individuals speaking per topic position. Please come to the center front podium, and clearly state your name and address for the record and the agenda topic you wish to speak upon in a professional manner.

Submittal of Requests For Future Meeting Items

Individuals who have appropriate items for City Council or City Staff consideration should complete the Comment, Concern & Agenda Request Form available at the City Office from the City Clerk. If the issue can be handled administratively without Council Action, notification will be provided. If the item is scheduled for a City Council Meeting or Workshop, notification of the event date will be given.
