I think summer has begun, and also a new month will be starting this week. We will start off next Monday June 2^nd with our Monthly Volunteer Executive meeting at 2:30 pm the volunteer executives are as follows Robyn Johnson President, Nadine Anderson Vice President, and Pat Anderson Secretary.

Church Service for Sunday June 1^st at 2:30 pm will be given by the St. John’s Lutheran Church with refreshments served afterwards. On Wednesday June 4^th at 1:00 pm is Communion with Pastor Hoden.

Activities for the week of June 2^nd to June 7^th are as followed, , Reading with Marilyn, Sing a Long, Game Day, Bingo w/WOW, Crafts, Bible Fellowship, Word Games, Let’s Play Ball, Crafty Cooking, Friday Bingo, Saturday morning movie, and Lawrence Welk.

Guest’s signing the Guest book this past week was:   Ruby Uman, Phyllis Kauffman, Ron and Mary Plageman to see Dorothy Larson. Also visiting was Brian Goracke to see Marvin Lang. Ron and Jean Nelson to see Margaret Moderow and Viola Enstrom. And others here to visit were John and Bonnie Buhr, and Gaily Shackelford.

Activity Memorial Fund

A memorial was given to the Activity Department in memory of Esther Moeller by Mary Alice Pearson.

National Nursing Home Week

We have a reschedule for Wednesday May7th there will be no Communion with Pastor Hoden that day it is moved to the following week.

We have a fun week coming up next week, it is National Nursing Home Week the theme this year is Living the Aloha Spirit and we will kick off the week with a Mother’s Day Tea Party on Monday May 12^th at 2:30 pm., on Tuesday May 13th is our Aloha day and we will be having a Aloha party at 2:30 pm with a hula hoop contest for staff. On Wednesday May 14 is Margarita Day with a Margarita Party at 2:30 pm. Thursday May 15^th is our Beach party day serving grilled Hamburger and Hotdogs for Dinner and a Let’s Play Ball Tournament at 2:30 pm for residents and staff and also on Thursday is our monthly Waffle Supper night at 530 pm. And we will end the week Friday will be our Bubble day, we will be having a tiny bubbles party on the patio at 2:30 pm. Saturday May 17^th the Rusty Buckets will be here at 2:30 pm to perform.

Easter Egg Hunt Saturday at Oakland Heights

We have many holiday activities this week, starting with Maundy Thursday Service on April 17^th at 2:30 pm, on Friday April 18^th at 2:30 pm is our Good Friday Service. This coming holiday weekend we will start off on Saturday April 19^th at 2:00 pm the Lions Club will be hosting there annual Easter Egg Hunt up here at Oakland Heights. Then on April 20^th Easter Sunday morning we will be having an Easter Brunch at 8:00 am. The resident’s family members are invited to come up and have breakfast. Next week is the resident’s General Store from 1:30 pm to 3:30 pm on Thursday April 24^th. On Saturday April 26^th from 5:00 pm to 6:00 pm the O-C High School students will come up and walk through the dining room to show off their Prom outfits.

Church Service for Easter Sunday April 20^th at 2:30 pm will be given by the Salem Covenant Church with refreshments served afterwards. On Tuesday April 22^nd at 9:30 am is Catholic Mass given by Father Paul.

Activities for the week of April 21^st to April 26^th are as followed, Reading with Marilyn, Manicures,   Reminiscing Group,   Game Day, Reading Group, Sing A Long,   Bingo w/Methodist, Bible Fellowship,   General Store, Let’s Play Ball, Crafty Cooking, Friday Bingo, Saturday morning movie, and Lawrence Welk.
