Community Help Needed for Logan Valley Manor Staff
May 12, 2015 Leave a comment
Since the announcement of the impending closing of the Logan Valley Manor on April 27 the staff have not been paid. At the time of their next regular pay-day, a couple of days later, they did not receive their expected paychecks. In fact, the last paychecks the staff received were half a month prior to that. Their pay schedule also means that the staff have been working for over a month without getting paid for any of those hours of labor. We are attempting to offer some help to these families that have been depending on these paychecks.
“If you would like to give any food items or monetary donations toward this effort, please drop your donations off at the New Life Church. It will be open from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily and is located immediately west of the Logan Valley Manor,” stated Jeff Clark, Pastor of New Life Church.
For those who are not be familiar with its location, from Diamond Street turn south on Ninth Street and you will find yourself in the New Life parking lot. Thank you in advance for your generous gifts for these families
