How to Start a Business Workshop Planned for Norfolk
Thinking about starting your own business? Do you have what it takes? Are you ready? What’s holding you back?
UNL Extension will present a workshop for people wanting to know how to start a business on Thursday, December 5th in Norfolk. It will be held at the Lifelong Learning Center located at 601 Benjamin Avenue. Go in the west door to the Northeast Research and Extension Center (NEREC) classroom in Suite 104. The workshop will run from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
You will learn:
- What skills and talents you bring to business
- Where you can find resources to help your new startup succeed
- What impact starting a business can have on a family
- What networks and connections you need to build
- Why marketing research is necessary
You will immediately:
- Understand the keys to business readiness
- Discover if you have what it takes
- Learn how to take advantage of the many resources available for new business owners
Anyone interested in starting a new business or those who already have a fledgling business up and running should register for the workshop today. Early bird registration is $35; after November 25 the cost of attending the workshop will be $45. Lunch and refreshments are included.
