Nelson’s Food Pride will be sponsoring a semi-trailer on Oakland’s Main Street in front of the VFW for those who wish to donate to the recent Nebraska tornado victims. The trailer will be there this afternoon thru Saturday. Items needed include: water, paper goods, toiletries, children’s toys, summer clothes, nonperishable food items, blankets, towels.
I am a graduate of Northeast Community College with a degree in journalism. I am married to Jeff Gilliland. We have two grown children, Justin and Whitney and four grandchildren, Grayce, Grayhm, Charli and Penelope. I will be covering Lyons, Decatur, Bancroft and Rosalie and am hoping to expand my horizons as time progresses!

Okay! So I dropped of a big bag of kids clothes and clothes that don’t fit me anymore! But I keep reading everywhere that the people don’t have time to sort through things or put them anywhere. Which I understand. So?????????????
It is very confusing Brittney. I think any donations are welcome. They are storing them at the Wisner school until someone can go through them all…they are also accepting money….I assume through the Red Cross, but I am not sure yet. I am trying to find that out. I have seen so many different posts on what they are accepting, that yes, it is confusing. I am sure your donation will be welcome as I doubt they have much for clothing. If I hear more, I will post it! Thank you!
