Happenings at Oakland Heights

On Thursday August 31st, we will have a Movie Matinee starting at 2:00 pm serving popcorn and pop. And on Friday it is the first of September and it’s the start of Labor Day weekend, on Saturday it is the first Nebraska game we will be showing the game at 7:00 pm. Next week on Thursday September 7th we will be having a 30-year Staff Anniversary party for Judy Schernikau at 2:30 pm. Then on Saturday September 9th it’s another Nebraska game at 3:30 pm. Our resident June Schold will celebrating her birthday on September 4th.

Church Service for Sunday September 3rd will be given by the Salem Covenant Church at 2:30 pm with a luncheon following service. On Wednesday September 6th is communion by the Salem Covenant Church.

Activities for the week of September 4th to September 9th   are as follows, No Monday Activities (Labor Day), Sing A Long, Bingo the w/WOW, Mike Barger, Reading Group, Bible Fellowship, Let’s Play Ball, Crafty Cooking, Bingo. Saturday Video, Nebraska Football, and Lawrence Walk.

Volunteers signing in last week were; Suzanne Sanderson, Cover McCauley, Bonnie Fleischman, Nadine Anderson, Kristin and Monroe Johnson,  Di Ruwe, Judy Nelson, Dani Moseman, Betty Hanna, Anne Anderson, Patty Miller, Shirley Olson, and Makayla Johnson.

Guest signing the guest book last week was; Mary Stuenkel and Brain Goracke to see Jene Hightree. Tom and Mary Plageman to see Dorothy Larson.
