Flood Warning


The National Weather Service in Omaha has issued a * Flood Warning for… Rain and Snowmelt in… Monona County in west central Iowa… Madison County in northeastern Nebraska… Burt County in east central Nebraska… Colfax County in northeastern Nebraska… Platte County in northeastern Nebraska… Southern Pierce County in northeastern Nebraska… Antelope County in northeastern Nebraska… Northwestern Saunders County in east central Nebraska… Wayne County in northeastern Nebraska… Cuming County in northeastern Nebraska… Dodge County in east central Nebraska… Thurston County in northeastern Nebraska… Butler County in east central Nebraska… Boone County in northeastern Nebraska… Stanton County in northeastern Nebraska… * Until 145 PM CDT Wednesday. * At 741 AM CDT, Doppler radar indicated 1 to 1.5 inches of rain over the warned region in the last 3 hours. This rain along with snowmelt was resulting in significant flooding along area streams and roadways. Additional rainfall of 1 to 2 inches will only worsen the flooding through noon today. * Some locations that will experience flooding include… Norfolk, Columbus, Schuyler, Wayne, West Point, Onawa, David City, Madison, Pierce, Tekamah, Albion, Neligh, Stanton, Wakefield, Battle Creek, North Bend, Wisner, Pender, Scribner and Lyons.
