WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW...WHICH IS IN EFFECT
FROM 3 AM TUESDAY TO 9 AM CST WEDNESDAY.

* TIMING...LIGHT SNOW WILL BEGIN LATE TONIGHT OR TUESDAY MORNING
AND THEN BECOME MODERATE OR POSSIBLY HEAVY AT TIMES TUESDAY
AFTERNOON AND EVENING. THE SNOW SHOULD GRADUALLY TAPER OFF
WEDNESDAY MORNING.

* MAIN IMPACT...HAZARDOUS TRAVEL DUE TO SNOW PACKED ROADS AND
REDUCED VISIBILITIES WITH BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW.

* ACCUMULATIONS...SNOW ACCUMULATIONS FROM 3 TO 6 INCHES ARE
POSSIBLE.

* WINDS...NORTH OR NORTHWEST WINDS FROM 15 TO 30 MPH COULD CAUSE
CONSIDERABLE BLOWING AND DRIFTING SNOW...ESPECIALLY FROM TUESDAY
EVENING INTO TUESDAY NIGHT AND WEDNESDAY MORNING.

A WINTER WEATHER ADVISORY FOR SNOW AND BLOWING SNOW MEANS THAT
MODERATE SNOW ACCUMULATIONS ARE EXPECTED. VISIBILITIES WILL ALSO

SOME SPOTS. 

* IMPACTS...DRIVERS ARE ENCOURAGED TO SLOW DOWN AND ALLOW EXTRA

The Oakland City Council Meeting scheduled for today has been postponed and will be held at a later date yet to be determined. 

The Oakland Public Library will close today at 5:00 p.m.
