Update on Roundabout at Highway 32/77 Junction

The roundabout at the junction of Highway 32/77 was projected to be completed at the end of this month. The date has been pushed back at least two weeks.

“The contractor is 2 weeks behind their schedule—that puts us into the middle of August; inclement weather will extend the delay.

They hope to resume the paving operation late next week,” stated Jeff Francis, project manager.

Work on Roundabout Progressing, Should be Complete at end of July

The roundabout at the junction of highway 32/77 south of Oakland NE is progressing nicely, with activity increasing this week. “The paving contractor is mobilizing and will be starting the subgrade stabilization work. The project should be completed by late July,” stated Jeff Francis, Highway Project Manager.

Highway 32 East Closing Today

After many rain delays, progress is moving forward on the roundabout at the junction of hwy 77/32 in Oakland. “The contractor will be closing Hwy 32 this morning,” stated Jeff Francis, Highway Project Manager.

The closing will only affect eastbound traffic, towards Tekamah. Highway 32 west and 77 north and south remain open.

Rain Delays Closing Highway 32 East To Tekamah at Roundabout Again

Rain over the weekend has prompted another delay at the roundabout in the closing of highway 32 east to Tekamah.

“The rain made conditions too wet to shoulder. We are hoping the area dries out today and tomorrow. They will try to close Hwy 32 on Wednesday,” stated Jeff Francis, Highway Project Manager.

Roundabout at Highway 32/77 Junction Update

Weather has been causing some delays at the roundabout at the junction of highway 77/32. “The weather prevented the paving contractor from working all day Friday and over the weekend. The closure should happen later this week, if the rain stays away,” stated Highway Project Manager Jeff Francis.

The current projected date of closing highway 32 towards Tekamah at the junction is Thursday. If it rains, which is in the forecast every day this week, the closing will be delayed.

Update on Progress of Roundabout at 32/77 Junction

The projected closing of highway 32 east towards Tekamah while construction of the roundabout at the junction of 32/77 has been delayed.

“The contractor is still trying to stabilize the subgrade. It looks like the closure will not happen until early next week,” stated highway project manager Jeff Francis.
