Meals on Wheels

*Would you like to get Meals on Wheels? Anyone over the age of 60 years and lives within the city limits are eligible for these meals. You may sign up anytime for the Meals on Wheels program; you can get the meals delivered however many times you want them each week. You must call 402-687-2332 before 8:30 a.m. if you want a meal that day. The suggested donation for the meal is $4.00.

Weekly Activities:

Wed. Aug.30: Chime practice at 9:00 a.m. Coffee time at 10:00 a.m.  Skip Bo is on the schedule at 1:30 p.m.

Thurs. Aug. 31: Tai Chi Class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time is at 10:00 a.m. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30 p.m.

Fri. Sept. 1: Come in for coffee. Sign up to play either in the pinochle tournament or the hand and foot tournament at 1:30 p.m.

Mon. Sept. 4: Center is closed for Labor Day.

Tues. Sept. 5: Tai Chi Class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time is at 10:00 p.m. Come and play in the pitch tournament at 1:30 p.m.

Wed. Sept. 6: Chime practice 9:00 a.m. Coffee time is at 10:00 a.m. We will be playing golf at 1:30 p.m.

Meals on Wheels

Getting tired of cooking for one person and then have left over’s that you will be eating for the next couple of days? Why don’t you consider getting meals on wheels; the meals are very nutritious and provide you with the protein, fruits and vegetables needed for a well balanced meal. Fri. June 16: The monthly birthday/anniversary party is at 1:30 p.m. and lunch is served at 3:30 p.m. Come and enjoy the afternoon activities.

Mon. June 19: Stop in and have coffee. The caregiver support group meets at 2:00 p.m. all caregivers are invited to attend.

Tues. June 20: Tai Chi class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time at 10:00 a.m. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30 p.m.

Wed. June 21: No chime practice today. Coffee time is at 10:00 a.m. We will play    Skip-Bo or any other type of game you want to play at 1:30 p.m.

Tues. Feb. 28: Tai Chi class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time at 10:00 a.m. Blood pressure clinic starting at 11:40 a.m. The meal is liver and onions or a hamburger patty. Cards and games will be played after lunch.

Wed. March 1: No chime practice today. Coffee time is at 10:00 a.m. Come and play any type of cards or board games at 1:30 p.m.

Mon. Oct. 10: FROG ex at 1:00. Sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30 p.m. Evening meal is pancakes and French toast, sausage, scrambled eggs and juice.

Tues. Oct. 11: Tai Chi class at 9:30 a.m. Coffee time at 10:00 a.m. and walking exercises at 10:30 p.m. Hand & foot at 1:30 p.m.

Wed. Oct. 12: Melody chimers will practice at 9:00 p.m. Coffee times at 10:15 a.m. sign up to play in the pitch tournament at 1:30 p.m. FROG ex at 1:00 p.m.
