Bev (Behlers) Kai, 75, of Las Vegas, NV, formerly of Pender, NE, passed away Sunday, February 7, 2016 at Centennial Hills Hospital in Las Vegas, NV. Funeral services will be Friday, February 19, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church of Pender; Pastor Miles Ruch will be officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, February 18, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender. The burial will be in the St Mark’s Lutheran Church Cemetery in Pender. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Pender.
Bev was born October 16, 1940 in Walthill, NE to Irene and C. Dale Behlers. She graduated from Hubbard High School. Bev was united in marriage to Roy Kai on June 28, 1959 in Pender, NE. She was a homemaker, worked at Pender Community Hospital and First National Bankcard in Wayne, NE. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother.
Bev is survived by her husband, Roy of 56 years; son, Michael of Stanton, NE; daughter and son-in-law Jill Kai Lysgaard and Kent Lysgaard; daughters Mary Kay Esser of Las Vegas, NV; sister, Marlene (Pat) Nelson of Lyons, NE; grandchildren Jake and Alyse Lysgaard, Dallas and Cole Esser, Ashley Kai Kauzlarich, Sarah and Tyler Kai; three great-grandchildren, Zachary, Alleana, and Andrew; two sisters-in-law, Joanne (Bill) Burling and Geraldine (Merlin) Behlers; one brother-in -law, Bob (Shirley) Oberg, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bev was preceded in death by her beloved son, Jay; her parents, Dale and Irene Behlers; her parents-in-law, Rudy and Mildred Kai; brothers, Merlin, Charles, Warren, Dallas and Douglas; sisters-in-law, Jackie (Bill) Gilfert and Shirley (Bob) Oberg; brother-in-law, Bill Burling; niece, Jody Oberg Callahan; and nephew, Guy Burling.

Teresa “Terri” M. (Wiebold) Hansen, 56, of Bancroft, Nebraska passed away Saturday, February 6, 2016 at the Pender Community Hospital in Pender, NE. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 13, 2016 at 10:30 a.m.at the Bancroft-Rosalie High School Gymnasium; Father Paul Ortmeier will be officiating. The visitation will be Friday, February 12, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Bancroft with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in the Bancroft Cemetery in Bancroft. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Arrangements are under the direction of Munderloh-Smith Funeral Home in Bancroft.
Terri was born June 24, 1959 to James and Sandra (Toft) Wiebold in Fremont, NE. She was baptized July 19, 1959 and confirmed March 4, 1973 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Fremont, NE. Terri graduated from Archbishop Bergan High School in 1977 and went on to attend Kearney State College. On June 20, 1981, she married Kent Hansen, and the couple had two children. After her marriage, she attended Mid America Floral Design School in Kansas City, KS and when she returned, she worked at The Floral Shop in Lyons, NE. Terri owned Bancroft Floral and Gift Shop from 1990 until 2005. She has also owned Lucky’s Bar since 2004.
Terri was the current Bancroft Village Board Chairperson, Cuming County Relay for Life, Cuming County Economic Development Committee, the John G. Neihardt Committee Board, and Holy Cross Altar Society.
She is survived by her daughters, Nicole (Drew) Smith of Sioux City, IA, Megan (Casey) Novak of Bancroft, NE; mother, Sandra Wiebold of Hooper, NE; grandmother, Rosamond McNabb of Tekamah, NE; sister, Christina (Gary) Moser of Omaha, NE, Mary (Dan) Larson of Fremont, NE; brothers, Brian Wiebold of Omaha, NE, Jamie (Jane) Wiebold of Fremont, NE, Marty (Keri) Wiebold of Omaha, NE; grandchildren, Ashlyn, Ava, and Aiden Smith, Cason and Maura Novak; nephews, Joe Wiebold, Jameson Wiebold, Eric Moser, Kaden and Kameron Wiebold; and nieces, Sara, Stephanie, and Jennifer Wiebold, Lauren and Abby Moser, Emma Larson; great nephews, Parker and Tyson Wiebold, Sean Wakefield, and Jameis Wiebold.
Terri is preceded in death by her father, James Wiebold; nephew, Jacob Wiebold, and her grandparents.

Marcia Ann (O’Sullivan) Koski, 67, of Pender, NE, passed away February 1, 2016 at Pender Community Hospital in Pender. Funeral services will be Friday, February 5, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at the United Church of Pender; Pastor Steve Breazier will be officiating. The visitation will be Thursday, February 4, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at United Church of Pender with a prayer service at 7:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to the family for future designation. Marcia was born June 19, 1948 in Sioux City, IA. She graduated from Randolph High School. Marcia was united in marriage to Keith William Koski on July 3, 1974 in Wayne, NE. She worked at Legacy Garden Nursing Home in the kitchen and as a housekeeper, where she enjoyed sitting and talking with the folks at the nursing home. She loved camping, traveling, and eating out at restaurants. Marcia’s life revolved around her family, she especially loved attending her grandchildren’s sporting and school events. Marcia traveled to many games and men’s fast pitch tournaments.
Marcia is survived by her husband, Keith W. Koski of Pender, NE; daughter, Lori (Doug) Prokop of Thurston, NE, Theresa (Scotty) Gerbes of Ankeny, IA, and Trish (Mike) Wegner of Pender, NE, grandchildren Ashley (Toby) Rose, Casey Prokop, Braden Prokop, Madalynn Gerbes, Austin Gerbes, Colton Gerbes, Michaela Wegner, and Avery Wegner; and great grandchildren, Hunter, Mary and Anna Rose. She is also survived by her mother-in-law, Arlene Koski of Pender, NE; sister, Sheila Evans of Pocahontas, IA; and cousin, Andrea (Harry) Lindner of Norfolk, NE.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Janet O’Sullivan; sister, Juanita O’Sullivan; grandma, Bessie Boughn, and father-in-law, John Koski.

Robert Erwin Miller, 74, of Hubbard, Nebraska passed away January 28, 2016 surrounded by his family at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City, Iowa. Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson, NE; Pastor Gretchen Ritola and Vicar Rebecca Truland will be officiating. Visitation will be held 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. with the family present starting at 5:00 p.m. Sunday, January 31, 2016 at St. Luke Lutheran Church with a prayer service starting at 7:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery in Emerson, NE. Robert was born on June 29, 1941 in Emerson, NE to Otto and Ruth (Jones) Miller. Robert attended and graduated from Emerson High School in 1959. After, graduation Robert married Sara Keuck at Hope Lutheran Church in South Sioux City, NE on June 25, 1960. To this union the family had four children. Robert farmed until his retirement in 1994. After retirement, he worked at Emerson Manufacturing until 2006. He enjoyed wood working, taking care of his garden, flowers and mowing his yard, which he took great pride in doing so. Robert loved traveling and going to his grandchildren’s events.
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Sara Miller of Hubbard, NE; children, Warren (Sue) Miller of Allen, NE, Deb (Leon) Steecker of Emerson, NE, Brian Miller of Wakefield, NE, Mike (Tiffany) of Story City, IA; grandchildren, Nick (Kayla) Miller of Wakefield, NE, Cody Miller of Riverside, MO, Jared (Amanda) Miller of Wakefield, NE, Eric and Melissa Steecker of Emerson, NE, Alyssa Miller of Story City, IA, Sierra Miller of Story City, IA; great grandson, Sawyer Miller; brother, Wayne (Cindy) Miller of Hubbard, NE; and many nieces and nephews.

Jeannette Elaine (Cooper) Kubik, 74, of Emerson, NE, passed away Tuesday, January 26, 2016 surrounded by her family at her home in Emerson. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson; Pastor Gretchen Ritola will officiate. The visitation will be Friday, January 29, 2016 from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at St. Luke Lutheran Church in Emerson with a prayer service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Burial is in Rose Hill Cemetery. Jeannette was born August 21, 1941 in Iowa City, IA to David and Guyla (South) Cooper. She grew up on the family farm, and graduated from high school in Smithland, IA in 1959. Jeannette married Donald Kubik on June 3, 1968 in Dakota City, NE. Jeannette’s first job was working for Aalfs, a blue jean manufacturing company. She was also the first female school bus driver for the Emerson school system. She was employed form 1967 until 2004 at IBP. After her retirement she drove the van for Heritage of Emerson.
Jeannette was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary, the Red Hat Society, Good Neighbor Club, Women’s ELCA, and the International Cockshutt Club. When she wasn’t helping others, Jeannette enjoyed playing cards, especially pitch, bowling and listening to polka music. Horses and roosters were two of Jeannette’s favorite animals and she had a collection of roosters. God was the center of her life and it showed as she spent time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Kubik of Emerson, NE; children, Kirk (Grace) Kubik of Louisville, NE, Kristi (Dale) Gaither of South Sioux City, NE, Kraig Kubik of Emerson, NE,; sister, JoAnn Polly (Bob Gotch) of Smithland, IA; brother, Louis (Nisla) Cooper of Panama City, Panama; grandchildren, Eric, Phillip, Ashley, Andrew, Grant, Gabriel, Destiny, and Kraig, Jr. She is also survived by great grandchildren, Kincaid, Korbin, Alice, Kolten, Ariel, Taylor, Nolan, Kaden, Cecelia and Olivia.
Jeannette is preceded in death by her parents; infant son, Klark; infant sister, Donna Kay Cooper.
